Damiano Belloli was bron in Osio Sotto (Bergamo), Italy, in 1983.
He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees (cum laude) in Automation Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Italy, in 2005 and 2007, respectively. His MSc. thesis is about vibration control in disc brake systems.
He received the PhD in Constrol System in 2015 from Politecnico di Milano, (Italy) defending the thesis: “Analysis and control of mechatronic actuation systems in industrial applications”.
In 2008, he was researcher at Center for Automotive Research at Ohio State University (USA) where developed control strategies for turbo diesel engines.
In 2009-2012, he was researcher at Intellimech at Kilometro Rosso (Bergamo, Italy) in cooperation with CAL, developing control strategies for electrohydrostatic actuators (Cometha project).

From 2012, he is researcher at Tenaris Dalmine, developing control systems for rolling processes for pipe production.
