In this paper, a continuous and discrete-time dynamical model of a commercial lithium-ion battery is proposed. It is modeled through an electrical equivalent circuit, applying the method of parameter extraction in the time domain to determine its values. As parameters vary according to the state of charge of the battery, a procedure for parametric identification based on the least-squares method is presented, using the Simulink ® Design Optimization™.
