I Yung was born in Jakarta, Indonesia, on 19th November 1986.
She received the Master Degree in Robotic Engineering in 2012 jointly from the Università degli Studi di Genova (Italy) and the Ecole Centrale de Nantes (France) under the Erasmus Mundus project in Advanced Robotics.
She obtained the PhD Degree in Electrical Engineering with specialisation in Control from the Umea University (Sweden). Her PhD studies was a cooperation program with Alo AB a swedish company in agricultural machinery, working on electronic self leveling control, payload estimation algorithms and the development of safety functions for flow limitation.
She also worked for Nokia Siemens Network on testing and verification of a new software for Intelligent Networks.
Currently, she is researcher at the Consorzio Intellimech.
