Cristiano Spelta was born in Milan, Italy, on 20 March 1979. He received the Master degree in Computer Engineering in 2004 from the Politecnico di Milano. He earned the Ph.D. in Information Engineering in 2008 (thesis “Design and applications of Semi-Active control systems”, supervisor Prof. Sergio M. Savaresi), from the Politecnico di Milano. He was visiting scholar (July-September 2006) at the Institute of Control Sciences of Moscow under the supervision of professor Boris Polyak.

He served as assistant professor at the University of Bergamo. His research interests include Control of road and rail vehicles, Control of agricultural-tractors, Robust control.

He left the University of Bergamo in 2016.

Now, he is Chief Technology Officer and Member of the Board of e-Novia Spa and e-Shock srl.
