Laboratory Mechanical System Control (4 CFU)

The courseĀ Mechanical system controlĀ is offered to students enrolled in theĀ Master degree in mechatronics and smart technology engineering.

The contents of this course will be:
– Introduction to actuators
– Introduction to the taxonomy of the electric actuators.
– Modeling of a rigid and elastic servomechanism
– Feedback control of a servomechanism
– Sensor taxonomy (focusing on electrical motors application)
– Low Level motor control (Six step commutation and Support Vector Modulation)
– Design of a notch filter
– Friction modeling
– Robust control

There will also be tutorials on the implementation of a model and its control of a servomechanism in Simulink and the development of a PID controller in discrete time for the implementation in a microcontroller

All materials are available on the course Teams.
