The course 21065-ENG Control Systems Technology is offered at students from Computer Engineering degree and Mechatronics and Smart Technology Engineering degree.
The goal of the course is to introduce control systems methods and identification methods, focused on applicative scenarios. Course objectives are to analyze the typical components of a control loop. It will then start analyzing the sensors that allow you to know the state of the system. It will be analyzed how to choose, use and filter them. The actuators will then be analyzed with the aim of providing the information about how to make the correct choice. The electric motors will then be introduced in detail. The third component analyzed are the controllers that will be presented using some use cases.
